Sibel Kantola was born in 1978 in Turkey, from where she moved to Moscow to follow her parents’ work. There she started the private art lessons. After graduating from French-Russian high-school, she moved to Kentucky, Louisville, USA. She received B.A.in graphic design and French in minor from the University of Louisville. Sibel has also lived in South Korea, where she has had several successful art exhibitions.

Today, she lives with her family in Kaarina and she has been running her Mökki Galleria, a 200-year-old cottage, for almost 8 years. Sibel is not only an artist and gallerist, but she also functions as a graphic designer, fashion designer and book publisher. She has illustrated 4 children’s books, and more are coming… As an artist, she has had many art exhibitions in Finland and in several other countries such as USA, South Korea, France, Spain and Bulgaria.

She has started working on murals in 2024. Since then she is focussed on upcoming mural projects. You can fallow her on facebook and instagram.

She is working at the Mökki Galleria in Kaarina. Her little ateljé is a very welcoming and lovely. You also can enjoy the art exhibition that changes monthly by remarkable artists. Mökki Galleria is a great place to experience something very unique.
