2025, Bambi painting on a doll bed and then a painting

Mural work Part 1
2024, Piispanristi, Kaarina
This mural project was something new for me. I needed to get started with the help of a kind artist Jani Rättyä. He has helped me plan with squares, and he also helped marking the squares with objects on the oil container. He has also showed me how to use the cool lift machine. After that, I was alone all by my own.
It is 6 meters tall. I have hight fear, and I had to maintain my calm mode up there. Luckily this project was so unique and special, so I managed the hight issues ! I must say I have to give credit to my dear friend Sabrina for this. Right before this project it was her birthday in Sicily. And she has planned to take her dear friends hiking right on top of Etna with special guide. I wont forget my fear on top of the Etna. But I did it! So this, 6 meters of hight was absolutely nothing after all!
Up here, for some reason, there were all kinds of flies, bugs and bees…. Especially, when I was painting the bee, I almost thought I will be stung by some of them. Well, I didnt. I was pretty calm and peaceful, even the lift was shacking, and it was not super stable either because of the wind. There were some super hot sunny days. This is an egg factory where I was painting, so there are some employees coming in and out during the day. I was getting best compliments and encouragements day after day. I must admit that was very nice feeling, since I am not used to. At some point, in the middle of the “Finnish HEAT”, one of the employer told me that, he feels sorry for me working so many hours up here, under this bright sun. Well the thing is, I was actually in the best spot and in the best possible stage of the world! No need for Hawaii or else. This was it! This very tiny spot on this lift was the best location where I would dream to be! This was the best project I have ever done so far. So, I am in for all the future other mural projects from now on!
Thank you Dava Food and the lovely crew for trusting in my skills and providing this fantastic oil container! And thank you Jani Rättyä for patiently helping me with this project! And of course, thank you my husband and my sons for supporting and being!
